America Supports Your Freedom Walk

From dKosopedia

Also known as, "KOOL AID," and "Iraqapalooza."

Description

The Pentagon will hold a massive march and country music concert to mark the fourth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, on Sept. 11, 2005, Bush Administration Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said.

"This year the Department of Defense will initiate an America Supports Your Freedom Walk," Rumsfeld said, adding that the march would remind people of "the sacrifices of this generation and of each previous generation."

The march will start at the Pentagon, where nearly 200 people died on Sept. 11, and end at the National Mall with a show by country star Clint Black.

March participants are encouraged to register at the Walk's website. In addition, the Pentagon is selling t-shirts to parade participants and is offering the first 1,000 parade registrants free "America Supports You Campaign Pins."

The event will be funded by US taxpayers.
