All Your Base Are Belong To Us

From dKosopedia

All Your Base Are Belong To Us originated as a a poorly translated phrase from the English version of the 1989 Japanese video game Zero Wing. In time however AYBABTU became an in-joke among Internet gamers in 1998-2000, then grew in popularity until it achieved mainstream status in early 2001 (it was even featured on NPR's Marketplace). With the precipitous drop in George W. Bush's approval ratings, Democrats have begun to use the phrase to taunt Republicans.
