dKosopedia:Advocacy

From dKosopedia

--Stevelu 10pm PST, Jan 5 2006 proposed Military Officers Letter of concern looking for a place to create a page for drafting work on the letter that Carl Nyberg proposed today, I found this page - Advocacy. Surprised there isn't more of an active category for activism-oriented stuff here (or if there is someone help me find it? Thx).

--wegerje 09:40, 24 Jun 2004 (PDT) dKos Demographics Want to know who and what the dKos community is/are? You tell us and we'll tell you here.

--Centerfielder 11:23, 24 Jun 2004 (PDT) Nice page, Jeff
--wegerje 15:05, 24 Jun 2004 (PDT) I just grabbed the stuff from JMS mostly. I left a note telling JMS that I did it Here and wondering out loud where I might place a link to it.

--Pyrrho 01:25, 6 May 2004 (PDT) I want to do a Diary asking for positive memes (well, at least pro-democratic... I think "Bush is phony" is a decent meme but I can't entirely say it's "positive"). I've seen people suggesting "leadership is important". I'd like people to give ideas and transcribe the gist of the idea, what does it stand for? Any objections to this?

The kossary thing... I have not been at the computer with Nick's email... when I send it, or if someone else would like to, I was going to mention that if he doesn't want to wiki it, I'd be happy to move it (with credit)... I think it's all in one page for now, but I could see people giving it more organizaton than that.

PS: I just realized also, another Diary->Wiki one I'd like to do is just asking for blog references into categories in the blogosphere article, so I'd appreciate any help with those categories. right now it's just

That's good enough for me right now but maybe we can do better.

--Jeff Weger(je)son 13:45, 4 May 2004 (PDT) Down bumping is fine with me. kossary might as well get going. It's a natural. The approach of bringing people in through diaries is for sure the way to go. My main concern is that the house is still a bit messy for party guests. Friends of the family won't care, and we don't have to tell them simple stuff like where the bathroom is because they know the ins and outs of the house. First impressions are important for people to feel welcome and to come back.

So I guess it depends upon who you are having over and what you are telling them about the state of the house.

--Pyrrho 11:44, 4 May 2004 (PDT) (still bumping messages top-down, please tell me if you don't prefer this...) Request: without objection I would like to post some messages at dKos to get some things filled in.

(1) I'd like to send Nick an email about the kossary (I'm not going to nec. wait for reply before doing this... but I will #2)

(2) I'd like to post a diary to extend this diary idea for link sharing. I've created an empty stub I would point the diary too. "LinkSharing", I imagine organizing the collected links at a later date (or in a perfect world it'll be edited in organized)

(3) ... other ...?

--Centerfielder 23:13, 25 Apr 2004 (PDT) What's the best way to get the word out resulting in a maximum of positive contributions and a minimum of loonies...

--Waltisfrozen 16:36, 28 Apr 2004 (PDT) I suggest getting policies/guidelines/how-to's in place a little better (perhaps a concise introduction and FAQ on the homepage) and then working with Kos to leverage his community. Do you think he'd be willing to provide a mailing list of active diarists that we could invite a week or so before Kos "officially" launches this thing with a post and link on his homepage?

--Pyrrho 02:43, 30 Apr 2004 (PDT) Clarifying my story a bit. Still open for anything (and certainly for some kos sycnchronized actions), but my current inclination would be to just post diaries on the subject every once in a while and collect people that way. An example could be if Nick wants to do Kossary 3.0 as a the final pre-Wiki draft for the Kossary.
