Do I need to register?
Even if you already have an account on Daily Kos, you have to register separately for dKosopedia. You can just register with the same name and password.

Talk/Discuss this page
Make comments on a page without cluttering the page itself: Discuss this page (redirect to Wikipedia). This reference also describes User Talk Pages--the (Talk) link next to your user name at the top of the page.
Adding New Pages
When you make a link to another dkosopedia page, you do this [[The Page Name]]. If it doesn't yet exist, then you (or anyone viewing the page) can click on it, and will go to an editing form to create it. Try this by inserting a link using [[some_unique_name]] while editing your user page, or in the test sandbox or somewhere in the main tree, save the page (or just preview for that matter). Then click the new link to create the page.
Inserting links first and then creating the referenced page is a wiki tradition (rather than using a sidebar link/form to create pages directly) because, in general, a new page that isn't linked somewhere to an existing page isn't very useful.
