I think I support your effort at tightening up 1912, and I am definitely glad to have more eyes (and fingers) on it, but I suspect it's still not nailed down. I'd rather encourage your applying your greater subject knowledge in further editing than edit further myself, and hope that it may be more helpful than annoying to suggest this: can we succeed in talking more about periods and less as if there were separate movements, by using "in the 1970s" rather than my ill-favored "of the 1970s"? I'm suspecting that may help do that more than moving the position of the same phrase. If that is not enough, it may help to use "early" to modify a period rather than the movement.
