Dave, you're now a dKosopedia sysop. If you'll be at YearlyKos we're trying to get arrange a dKosopedia get-together. -- Centerfielder 05:29, 16 May 2006 (PDT)
Woo-hoo! Can you point me in the general direction of stuff I might need to know/do? Also, I don't think I'll make it to YearlyKos this year, sadly. Sounds like it will be a great time though.... --DaveOinSF 09:29, 16 May 2006 (PDT)
The primary things sysops can do...
- Protect pages. Locking down a page that's the target of a pissing match, or edit war, or the target of someone with a grudge, is sometimes the only way to maintain cool heads or prevent vandalism.
- Delete pages. Some pages just don't need to be there.
- Ban users.
- Grant sysop priv to others. I'd rather you not do this without consulting wit me first, though.
