George Bush fought to get rid of what he called the ‘death tax’ – so that multi-millionaires could pass off all their inheritance. Cited as the flipside to the so-called death tax, itself a reframing of the estate tax. Can be used as a counter to the claim that deficits don't matter. However, it reinforces the frame that taxation is inherently negative.
