Ryan White CARE Act
From dKosopedia
The federal Ryan White CARE Act provides health care for people with HIV disease. Enacted in 1990, it fills gaps in care faced by those with low-incomes and little or no insurance. HRSA's HIV/AIDS Bureau administers the program through hundreds of grantees, who serve 533,000 people each year.
90%+ of CARE Act clients have no private health insurance.
