Rob Brading is a Multnomah County Oregon Democrat who ran against Repbulican Karen Minnis for the Oregon State House District 49 seat, in the 2004 General elections. While being outspent nearly 7 to 1, he came within 1,524 votes (7 percentage points) of unseating the Oregon Legislature's incumbent Speaker of the House.
