Rick Hamada is the consevative host of Hawaii's morning drive talk show, "The Rick Hamada Program" on News Radio 830 KHVH, a Clear Channel station.
Hamada hosts a current events, pop culture and political talk program entertaining thousands of listeners from 5A-9A, Monday-Friday. Guests include the most notable and influential people in Hawaii and around the nation. Regular guests include Governor Linda Lingle, Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann, Senators Sam Slom and Colleen Hanabusa plus elected and appointed officals. Notable figures appearing on his program include White House Press Secretary Tony Snow, local legend Don Ho, actor Danny Glover and musician Kenny Loggins.
Hamada has been named 1998 Radio Personality of the Year by Honolulu Weekly and has received numerous awards and citations from organizations such as Small Business Hawaii and Republican Party of Hawaii.
His newspaper column, "A Conservative Estimate" appears in MidWeek, Hawaii's Favorite Newspaper, with a circulation of over 600,000.
Hamada is married to the former Bernadette Baraquio, manager of Just A Girl Productions, LLC and Executive Producer and Host of the hit TV show, "Living Local with the Baraquios" and sister of Miss America 2001 Angela Perez Baraquio. They reside in Honolulu and have two children, Zachary, 5 and Zoe, 3.
