Racism

A philosophy that views some races as superior to others and entitled to rule over others. In U.S. history racism is closely associated with the legacy of slavery in the American South. In many other parts of the world it is closely associated with a history of Colonialism.

Racism is almost universal condemned as wrong except by hard core facists and aged segregationists. Progressives tend to focus on redressing a history of inequality in their approach to racism, while others often emphasis a focus on attaining an absolutely color-blind society.
