During the mid-90s, broadcast Newt Gingrich's controversial college course, "Renewing American Civilization" and his talk show (co-hosted by then-Progress & Freedom Foundation Senior Fellow Heather Higgins).
Famously organized a February 1995 $50,000-per-couple fundraising dinner, hosted by Arianna Huffington. In attendance were GOPAC donors David Brennan (an attorney from Akron, OH and $50,500 donor) and Frank Hanna (of Atlanta, owner of HBR Capital, Progress & Freedom Foundation board member and a $40,000 donor) and listed as "possibly attending" was Jesse Thompson (developer from Charlotte and $200,000 donor). Other contributors to the dinner included Carlo Morelli or Richmond, TX, a racehorse breeder and owner of Glenmore Farms, Richard M.
