Meteor Blades on Daily Kos
Meteor Blades's first comment on Daily Kos, using his pseudonym, was on January 25, 2003, responding to a story by guest blogger Steve Soto, So Much for Dismissing "Old Europe" The comment thread link to that post is here, and his comment was signed MeteorBlades. He added the space to his name later that year.
Once posting as Meteor Blades, he commented for four days straight in January, and then for the first seventeen days in February. On November 5 he was back with comments to three posts, and three days later wrote five comments to each of two posts that day. RonK, Seattle remained a guest blogger, which he'd been since April 11, and stayed on until Daily Kos switched platforms from Movable Type to Scoop a few weeks later (the Movable Type site was closed and archived on October 15).
Meteor Blades continued as a Daily Kos guest blogger through November 30, 2004, writing a total of 341 guest posts for the front page: 16 under Movable Type, and 325 under Scoop in this period.
The next set of guest bloggers took over immediately after that, but Markos noted that front-page "alumni" would still be able to continue posting on weekends as the mood struck them. Meteor Blades didn't post any stories in December 2004, but started again in 2005, and is still writing front page stories at the present time.
