Mary Papen

Mary K. Papen, a Democrat, was reelected to the New Mexico State Legislature representing the 38th senatorial district (Las Cruces). Papen garnered 66.5% of the vote to beat Republican opponent Darl Miller in the 2004 general election.

Sen. Papen was born in El Paso, Texas on September 19, 1932. Papen is widowed and was previously employed as an automobile dealer. She has no prior governmental experience.
