Lani Kawahara

Lani Kawahara, elected to the Kauai County Council in 2008. A lifelong Kauai resident and graduate of Kapaa High School, Kawahara earned a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from UCLA. Prior to her election, Kawahara has worked as a library administrator/branch manager in the Princeville and Kapaa Public Libraries for eleven years. [1]
Councilwoman Kawahara was a legislative aide and community representative for Senator Gary Hooser from 2004 - 2007. [2]
