John R. Davis, Jr.

John R. "Jack" Davis, Jr.(D) is an engineer and entrepreneur who founded an electrical equipment company in western New York state. He is a veteran of the Coast Guard and Marine Corps Reserve, and he is one of the Fighting Dems.

He has been defeated twice in a run for Congress in the 26th District, see New York U.S. House election, 2006. He also ran in 2004.

Married with 6 children and 13 grandchildren, Jack grew up in western New York and graduated from Amherst Central High School and from the University of Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering in 1955.
