Homeland Security Act of 2002

The Homeland Security Act of 2002 created the United States Department of Homeland Security. This bill was passed with overwhelming bi-partisan support, as a result of the 9/11 Commission. Originally President George W. Bush opposed this bill, but then he flip-flopped after it was passed.
