Herbert Kohl, (born February 7, 1935, Milwaukee), senior senator from the state of Wisconsin. First elected to the senate in 1988, he was reelected in 1994, in 2000, and again in 2006. He is a member of the Democratic Party. Kohl is the namesake of Kohl's Department Store, and is generally considered to be politically invincible (he carried every county in Wisconsin in his 2006 victory). While not nearly as popular among party activists as fellow Democrat Russ Feingold, Kohl can probably keep his Senate seat for as long as he wants it.
