Background
Malia Zimmerman, the other co-founder, was fired from Pacific Business News for unspecified reasons and then founded Hawaii Reporter. Zimmerman is the president, editor, director as well as co-founder of the on-line business journal, Hawaii Reporter.com. She is also a co-founder of Grassroot Institute of Hawaii, a conservative thinktank.
She was/is purportedly the girlfriend of Senator Sam Slom (R-HI), and was involved heavily in Govenor Linda Lingle's election campaign. She was involved heavily with the Evergreen Freedom Foundation's Voter Integrity Project.
