Gordon Brown

Gordon Brown or Dr. James Gordon Brown is the current British Chancellor of the Exchequer, the functional equivalent of the Minister of Finance in Europe or Japan or the Secretary of the Treasury in the United States.

First elected a Labour Party MP in 1983 for Dunfermline East in Scotland, Brown represented that constituency until 2005. He now the MP for Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath.
