Dwight Takamine

Dwight Takamine (born Jan. 29, 1953), a member of the Democratic Party, represents the 1st Senatorial District in the Hawaii State Senate of the Hawaii State Legislature. The 1st District includes the Hilo, Honoka'a, Laupahoehoe, Hamakua, Waiakea Uka, Keaukaha and Waimea areas of the island of Hawaii in the state of Hawaii.
Takamine was born in Honokaa on the island of Hawaii on January 29, 1953. He is a graduate of Honokaa High School. He has a BA degree in psychology from the University of Hawaii and a JD degree from the William S. Richardson School of Law, University of Hawaii at Manoa.
By profession, Takamine is an attorney.
Takamine has one son.
