Bob Nakasone

Bob Nakasone (b. March 8, 1940 - d. December 7, 2008), a member of the Democratic Party, won reelection in 2004 to represent the 9th Representative District in the Hawaii State House of Representatives of the Hawaii State Legislature. The 9th District includes the Wailuku, Puunene, Makawao and Paia areas of the island of Maui in the state of Hawaii. Nakasone has been a member of the House of Representatives since 1992.
Previous to his being in the House, Nakasone was elected to the Maui County Council from 1977 to 1983 and from 1985 to 1989.
Rep. Nakasone has a poor environmental voting record according to the Sierra Club of Hawaii (see below).
Rep. Nakasone is the founder and owner of Ameritone-Maui, a paint and wall covering distributorship with two retail outlets on Maui.
Nakasone was born on March 8, 1940 in the town of Paia on the island of Maui.
