Andrew Rice is a Member of the Oklahoma Senate. He attended Casady School and graduated from Colby College in 1996; his received his Masters in Theological Studies from Harvard University Divinity School in 1999.

In 2001 his brother died in the 9/11 attack.[1]

State Senate

Andrew Rice was first elected to the State Senate in 2006. During the campaign his Republican opponent Joshua Jantz [2] distributed a flyer that called for thorns to be placed around the district and its voters and for their "salvation" and a desire for them to "elect righteous leaders."

Current Roles

Andrew Rice is Co-Chair of the Health and Human Resources committee. He also sits on the Appropriation Subcommittee on Natural Resources and Regulatory Services, Business and Labor Criminal Jurisprudence, Public Safety and Homeland Security committees.

U.S. Senate Run

Senator Rice has announced that in 2008 he will challenge the powerful James Inhofe for his seat in the United States Senate. [3].
