Agnosticism
From dKosopedia
Though the term is used today to describe a religious skeptic or agnostic in all but name, there is a long history of religious believers describing themselves as agnostic.
An agnostic believes that it is impossible to know whether or not God exists. Agnostics should not be confused with atheists, who are sure that God does not exist.
A lack of religious affiliation often is seen as a liability to political candidates, mostly due to how such candidates are treated by the media.
"Political agnostics" are people who ignore politics and current events. They may belong to a political party, but do not consider their party affiliation to be an important part of their identity. They may or may not bother to vote in elections; if they do vote, they feel it will have little effect.
There are many shades of religious agnosticism and atheism. Wikipedia has more information on agnosticism.
