Slovenia

From dKosopedia

Slovenia is a country in Central Europe. A successor state to the former Yugoslavia, Slovenia borders Italy, Austria, Croatia, Hungary and the Adriatic sea.

The population of Slovenia is roughly 2 million (May, 2004), the large majority of whom are ethnic Slovenians. Significant minority groups in Slovenia include Italians and Hungarians, who are autochthonous, and groups representing the other nations of the former Yugoslavia.

Slovenia is the most prosperous of all former Communist countries in Europe. It is a member of the European Union, and it has adopted the Euro as its currency.
