Patrick Quinn

Patrick Quinn is the Democratic Governor of Illinois. He was sworn in on January 29, 2009, after his predecessor, Rod Blagojevich was impeached.

Quinn was elected Lt. Gov. in 2002, and reelected in 2006. Before that, he was the State Treasurer from 1991-1995, and he served on the Cook County Board of Tax Appeals. He also helped to found the consumer watchdog group Citizens Utility Board.

Patrick Quinn was born on Dec. 16, 1948, and he is divorced with two children. He has a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University, and a law degree from Northwestern University.
