One of Pacifica Radio's most popular programs is Democracy Now!, hosted by Amy Goodman.

To the annoyance of the predominantly conservative mainstream news media, the political content of their broadcasting is generally liberal or left. The station was founded by conscientious objectors to the Second World War (fact check this last claim)
