Joint Protection Enterprise Network

From dKosopedia

The Joint Protection Enterprise Network (JPEN) is a force protection database operated by the Counterintelligence Field Activity of the United States Department of Defense. It gathers data on suspicious incidents near US military bases worldwide, including inside the United States. This data comes from the NSA, the CIA, the FBI, state and local police, and the Pentagon's Talon system, and it is processed or "data-mined" to look for patterns of activity. Its use in gathering data on US citizens may be illegal.
