Jeffrey Mikulina

Jeffrey Mikulina, is presently the executive director of the Blue Planet Foundation. He is the former Director of the 5,100-member Hawaii chapter of the Sierra Club which he led for nine years. Mikulina is a staunch advocate for the environment, energy independence and energy efficiency.

Mikulina as part a coalition groups lobbied aggressively for the passage of the Legacy Lands Act during the 2005 session of the Hawaii State Legislature. The Legacy Lands Act has since been signed into law.

Mikulina has also has been a strong supporter of the Hawaii Bottle Bill and the City & County of Honolulu Curbside Recycling.

The Sierra Club and Public Access Shoreline Hawaii pushed the Hawaii State Department of Land and Natural Resources into setting shoreline boundaries rules that better protect public lands.
