Colorado Springs, Colorado

Colordo Springs, Colorado is a node for dozens of national evangelical Christian protestant organizations. Other organizations, such as Summit Ministries, are located in adjacent communities like Manitou Springs. Located in El Paso County in the center of the state, Colorado Springs is the second largest city in Colorado.

Colorado Springs also hosts many military facilities such as the United States Air Force Academy.

In 2004, the voters of Colorado Springs and El Paso County established the Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority and adopted a 1% sales tax dedicated to improving the region's transportation infrastructure.
