Alexander N. Green (born September 1,1947) is the U.S. Representative for the Ninth Congressional District in Texas.

Green was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended Florida A&M University and went on to receive his Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 1974 from Texas Southern University. He served as an elected Justice of the Peace in Harris County, Texas prior to running for the U.S. Congress.

Green is a former lawyer and president of the Houston, Texas|Houston NAACP. His defeat of Congressman Chris Bell in the primary triggered the latter's ethics complaint against House Majority Leader Tom DeLay.
